The Olympus Octet will be performing two masterpieces composed by child prodigies: the Mendelssohn Octet and the Enescu Octet. Mendelssohn was just 16 when he composed his groundbreaking octet and Enescu was only three years older. The Enescu Octet is a hidden gem. Virtuosic, rambunctious, and powerful in its outlook. The Olympus Octet is led by Matthew Lloyd-Wilson and this concert will be the first in a series of performances in the south of England.
